rdscott450 Churchwood is my favorite band - but I was a fan of Evan Johns even before that. When I first heard Churchwood, I went to the nearest music store in a hurry!
Same with Evan Johns. I've still got some of his music on cassette and CD. I wouldn't give it up. I'm looking forward to receiving the EP on vinyl.
And, as far as I'm concerned, nobody is better suited to pay tribute to his music!
Churchwood adds just the right edge to it. RIP, Evan Johns. Favorite track: Taking Care of My Home.

I've been listening to this recording almost nonstop since receiving it. After reading the liner notes from Jeff Smith, I was stunned to find out that this was such a recent release. The music sounds so classic and timeless, I couldn't believe that it had just been released this year! I've heard many of the songs before, and enjoyed seeing The Hickoids before - and this is a beautiful time capsule.
